Job Title: Addiction Therapist Supervisor

Department: Outpatient Chemical Dependency

Location: Unity Hospital - 1565 Long Pond Rd, Rochester, NY 14626

Hours Per Week: 40

Schedule: Monday - Friday; Days, 8:00AM - 5:00PM

SUMMARY:

As an Addiction Therapist Supervisor, your ability to lead, direct and mentor Addiction Therapists allows for crucial professional development and clinical program enhancement which leads to improved patient care. You are key in program development and quality assurance for the unit.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducts individual and group supervisory activities that promote clinical and program service improvement.
• Communicates department policies and procedures to supervisees and monitors for compliance.
• Monitors staff productivity and compliance with medical record requirements and regulatory requirements..
• Conducts performance evaluations based on quantitative and qualitative data.
• Evaluates clinical competencies of staff based on research-based practice guidelines.
• Provides supervision to improve clinical outcomes such as enhancing client access, engagement and retention into treatment. 
• Maintains a client caseload and completes medical record documentation within required time frame and in accordance with regulatory requirements. 
• Participates and assists the coordinator in handling patient grievances and complaints.
• Maintains certification/licensure and is familiar with current literature related to recommended practices in substance disorder treatment and clinical supervision.
• Facilitates patient staffing and case conferences, as designated by the Coordinator.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required in Counseling, Creative Arts Therapy, Education, Marriage & Family Therapy, Organizational Leadership, Psychology, Social Work or the alike in a Human Service field.
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience in chemical dependency or behavioral health, which can include internship.
• Advanced CASAC, Master CASAC, LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous supervisory experience preferred

MS (Required)

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: 

QHP - Qualified Health Professional - NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

$68,000.00 - $91,000.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
