JOB DESCRIPTION

The Administrative Assistant provides essential administrative support for Lakewood Church’s humanitarian programs and initiatives, including relief and outreach, international efforts, the M3 Conference, and other departmental responsibilities. This role ensures the smooth operation of daily departmental functions, facilitates communication between internal and external stakeholders, and maintains accurate records to support the effectiveness of humanitarian efforts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment.

This position reports to the Resource Allocation Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provide assistance and support for day-to-day departmental operations and functions
  • Oversee, maintain, and produce all work orders related to the department and special events, including conferences
  • Support the execution of departmental budgets, including processing purchase orders and budget adjustments
  • Manage and update the departmental calendar to reflect all major initiatives and church events
  • Ensure records are organized and accessible to relevant team members using shared platforms such as Teams
  • Assist with the M3 Conference by facilitating speaker contracts, breakout session development, conference logistics, and speaker communication
  • Perform key functions as needed to support and execute the M3 Conference
  • Assistance with the coordination and facilitation of emergency shelters and disaster response as needed
  • Maintain documentation and accurate record-keeping for department protocols, shelters, disaster relief, outreach, and other functions
  • Collaborate with the relief and outreach team to support warehouse functionality and regular operations
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Regular attendance at Church services and classes,
  • Serving as a Prayer Partner or as a volunteer in any ministry of the Church,
  • Serving our community through local outreaches from time to time when needed by the Church

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic understanding of accounting and budget tracking practices
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
  • Sharp attention to detail and accuracy in data management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external partners
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs
  • Bilingual proficiency is a plus

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree in a related field of study is preferred
  • Some event experience preferred
  • Past work working or volunteering with a non-profit
  • 1-3 years administrative work experience
