Arts & Culture Program Director Mandell JCC of Greater Hartford 335 Bloomfield Ave West Hartford, CT 06117 The Director of Arts & Culture Programs leads and oversees the Mandell JCC's diverse arts and culture initiatives, ensuring they align with the mission and goals of the JCC. This role is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of Jewish and secular cultural arts programs, including visual arts, performing arts, literary arts, film, music, Israel engagement, and Jewish life. The Director ensures that the arts programs are relevant, engaging, and offer personal and community enrichment. Minimum Qualifications: Program Design & Implementation: Develop, design, and implement high-quality arts and culture programs and events that align with the JCC's mission. Create a comprehensive cultural arts portfolio across multiple demographics, ensuring a blend of Jewish and secular offerings. Oversee signature events such as the Annual Book Festival, Jewish Film Festival, and special performances like music or comedy shows. Develop and manage the Gallery Exhibit Program, ensuring 6-8 curated exhibits annually that reflect contemporary societal themes. Actively seek and feature a diverse range of artists, including local, regional, and national talent, to enhance the gallery's reach and impact. Produce and manage special events such as the Under One Roof exhibit, working closely with committees and external partners.
