Our client, a leading player in the food industry, is seeking a Bakery Assistant to join their team. As a Bakery Assistant, you will be part of the production team supporting the baking of various food products. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a passion for food preparation, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, which will align successfully with the organization.

Job Title: Bakery Assistant

Location: Peekskill, NY

Pay Rate: $18.00/hr.

What's the Job?

• Prepare ingredients for baking each morning by following specific recipe formulas.
• Operate large-scale mixers to combine ingredients effectively.
• Utilize a press machine to cut food products into the desired shape and size.
• Ensure compliance with strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) during the food preparation process.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

What's Needed?

• Food handling experience in a commercial kitchen setting.
• Previous baking experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes accurately.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and operate specific machinery used in the baking process.
