One of the leading electric utility companies in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a contractor for a technical support role.

Job Description

This position will support meter and field activity analysis and resolution utilizing multiple systems such as Customer Care and Billing, C3, UIQ, MDM, and Microsoft Access.

Qualifications

• The contractor will support the investigation of missing AMI devices, which are devices that emit signals but were not reported properly during installation. The contractor will be responsible for locating the exact location of these devices.
• The position involves determining why meters are not communicating with each other, utilizing the internally created AMI NO Read Database.
• The contractor will investigate potential reasons and create tickets to initiate field activities by submitting a Field Activity (FA). For meters to read correctly, they must be near each other in clusters.
• Bachelors degree is required.
• Requires strong analytical skills, prior experience with Microsoft Excel (formulas and pivot tables).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary to coordinate with other areas of the business.
• Candidate should be tech-savvy and able to learn new software systems quickly.
• 4-5+ years of relevant experience is required.
• RF technician background is a plus.
• Experience in the gas and electric industry is a plus.
• The contractor must be able to work independently and handle work challenges effectively.
