JOB TITLE : Catholic Musician

LOCATION : Cannon AFB Chapel, Clovis, New Mexico, 88103

JOB TYPE : Part time

DUTIES :

• Conducting rehearsals prior to services or performances.
• Performing as part of a worship team, leading congregational singing, playing an instrument, or providing vocals.
• Training and supervising other musicians in the church.
• Organizing and maintaining music libraries containing scores, recordings, and other materials used in church services.
• Leasing and maintaining equipment such as pianos and organs.
• practicing with choir prior to services, and providing rehearsals for musicians/choir.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION :

• Shall have a minimum of 1 year experience as a volunteer or paid position in a church setting working directly with church musicians, directors and choirs.
• Shall have bachelor’s in Music or a combination of education (music education, performance, or theory) and experience in a professional setting equaling no less than three (3) years.
• Must be able to play the following instruments: organ and piano.
• Must be able to sight-read music and play a variety of music to include but not limited to traditional (preludes, meditative instrumentals, postludes, praise choruses, congregational hmns, and classical music selections).
