About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Compliance and Risk Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of the company's Compliance Management Program, ensuring adherence to all regulatory laws and acts. This role involves managing and overseeing compliance and risk staff, serving as the company's CRA Officer, and overseeing the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Module. The Chief Compliance and Risk Officer will also be tasked with formulating compliance policies, providing training to staff, and maintaining knowledge of current regulations. Additionally, the role includes serving as a liaison with internal and external auditors, participating in various committees, and addressing all compliance-related consumer complaints. Applicants for the Chief Compliance and Risk Officer position at the company should have a minimum of 8 years' of compliance-related experience and a bachelor's degree in a business-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Specialized compliance training such as CAMS, CERP, and/or CRCM is a plus. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of banking laws and regulations, particularly those related to lending and deposits, and experience with CRA is also a plus. Strong communication, planning, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively under pressure and with regulators. The role requires the ability to influence and build consensus across the organization and a preference for candidates with ties to the local area.
