About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Market Risk Officer to lead the development and enhancement of the market risk framework and capabilities for its capital markets business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the organization and coordination of all risk activities and initiatives, with a focus on ensuring that the risk framework meets regulatory requirements and is in line with the firm's business strategy. Key responsibilities for the Chief Market Risk Officer include coordinating risk management activities, establishing a risk appetite framework, and working closely with trading desk heads to monitor risk limits and emerging macro risks. The role also involves directly engaging with regulators on initiatives such as Basel III Endgame, Volcker Rule compliance, and FRTB. This role requires a professional with over 15 years' experience in market risk or capital markets risk, a strong understanding of market risk metrics and topics, and a proven track record of working with C-suite executives and regulators. The ideal candidate will have a background in capital markets and related securities, excellent communication skills, and previous experience in leading a team. A deep knowledge of regulatory requirements for market risk and the ability to enhance the current market risk governance framework, risk policy, and risk controls are essential for this position.
