About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Risk Officer for its Capital Markets business. The successful candidate will be tasked with building out the risk framework and capabilities, as well as organizing and coordinating all risk activities and initiatives. This role is pivotal in directly supporting the global CRO and will involve significant visibility within the firm. The CRO will be responsible for developing and enhancing the current Capital Markets Risk Framework and shaping the future of Risk Management. Key responsibilities include coordinating risk management activities, establishing a risk appetite framework, and ensuring that the risk framework meets regulatory requirements. Applicants for the Chief Risk Officer position should have a minimum of 15 years' experience in a Capital Markets Risk role, with a strong knowledge of various risk frameworks and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a background in market risk, enterprise risk, liquidity risk, credit risk, and operational risk, and be familiar with regulatory initiatives such as Basel III Endgame, Volcker Rule compliance, and FRTB. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work with senior stakeholders, and previous experience in leading a team. The CRO will also be expected to engage directly with regulators on regulatory initiatives and to enhance the current Market Risk Governance framework, Risk Policy, Risk Controls, and assessments.
