Title: College Sports Social Producer / Editor

Classification: Full-time Contractor

Location: Remote

Compensation: $3,000.00 USD / month

WSE also holds partnerships with 100+ rights holders and sports properties, providing always-on programming to followers of the internet's largest and most engaged social communities.   

Wave Media Agency is seeking a full-time social media producer/editor to assist with creating engaging short-form video content primarily on Facebook for our College Sports partner. This position is ideal for someone with content highlight packaging skills, creative flair for video content formats, strong sourcing and video editing skills, and a passion for College Sports with an interest in building a career in social media.

Responsibilities :

 

• Produce and edit both reels and video formats
• Watch, scour and identify video-worthy moments from an archive of gameplay. Candidates should be able to find highlight worthy moments based on trending College Sports narratives/ player storylines- and turn an original clip into final edit.
• Package video assets, and edit footage into compelling and visually-appealing social media storytelling videos that align with current trends and audience preferences.
• Add social editing optimizations to enhance video product to optimize opportunities for video virality 
• Adhere to brand guidelines and social media platform specifications to ensure consistent and optimized video content.
• Create a forward looking weekly content plan weekly content that aligns with the College Sports schedule (all ages, demographics, genders etc.) 

 

Qualifications:

 

• A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating visually-compelling video content
• A strong understanding of Facebook as a platform
• Strong interest and knowledge of College Sports, with an eagerness to learn more about digital engagement strategies.
• Proficiency in video editing and graphic designing software (i.e. Adobe Suite)
• Creative and proactive approach to tasks, with effective communication skills and willingness to bring your own creativity to video edits.
• A creative mindset paired with a strong work ethic to be able to adapt to new video editing capabilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

 

Physical Requirements + Work Environment

• Capacity to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery and hardware.
• The ability to communicate and exchange information clearly and accurately. 
• Work is sedentary and involves sitting for the majority of work hours.
• Able to work full-time M-F and nights and weekends as needed.
• The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and work is performed in a business office environment.
• The worker may be exposed to variable lighting conditions (brightness or darkness) and noise during production when in the office.

If this contract is categorized as a Remote opportunity above, we may support remote work for contractors who reside in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, DC, Florida, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi,  New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas.
