CooperDouglas has partnered with a high growth logistics and supply chain firm that is powering some of the nationals most recognizable consumer brands is seeking a Controller to lead financial operations through its next phase of scale. This is a great opportunity to step into a key executive role where complexity, pace and precision converge.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees the production of financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points.
• Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts, and statements to understand the financial state of business.
• Monitor the company’s financial reports and determine ways to reduce costs. Keep up-to-date on financial markets to understand how to maximize profits. Understand the financials of the Company in order to meet legal requirements and keep the financial state of the Company in good standing.
• Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions. Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
• Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements.
• Working with external auditors and providing necessary information for annual and related financial audits.
• Assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, 5+ years in a supervisory/management capacity.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration.
• CPA is required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting practices.
• Ability to negotiate, review and understand complex financial documentation as well as create and analyze cash flow models and review and understand financial statements.
• Ability to interact with others in a professional, tactful, and sensitive manner.
• Strong leadership skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, planning and organizing, decision making and delegation with the ability to manage and direct the work of others.
• Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems with a preference for NetSuite.
• Demonstrated experience in data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.

Compensation range $200,000 - 240,000 + bonus
