Job Description Job Description Job Summary The Security/systems Administrator supports ISCorp’s secure private cloud and security infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on perimeter security and the administration of enterprise security tools. This role is responsible for administering and maintaining Check Point and Fortinet firewalls, Cloudflare security and proxy services, and related tools that protect ISCorp’s hosted environments. The position also supports internal systems such as Active Directory, SIEM-integrated logging, and virtualization platforms. The Systems Administrator ensures the reliability, performance, and security of critical systems while providing exceptional support to both internal users and external clients. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Administer, maintain, and monitor enterprise firewall platforms (Check Point and Fortinet), including rulebase updates, threat prevention features, and security policy tuning. • Manage and support Cloudflare services, including WAF and traffic security controls. • Monitor and maintain logs and alerts through enterprise SIEM platforms and assist in tuning detections and security correlation rules. • Administer Windows Server environments, including identity services such as Active Directory and Group Policy. • Support virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or comparable hypervisor platforms. • Support information security best practices, including network segmentation, identity security, audit logging, and incident response processes. • Perform system scripting and automation using PowerShell, command-line tools, or similar technologies. • Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, security, and application issues. • Maintain accurate technical documentation for systems, firewall policies, Cloudflare configurations, and processes. • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to system or security alerts as needed. ________________________________________ Required Qualifications • Minimum of 3 years of experience administering enterprise security technologies. • Hands-on experience with either Check Point and/or Fortinet firewalls (SmartConsole, FortiManager, IPS/IDS, VPN, policy management). • Experience managing Cloudflare WAF, or enterprise traffic filtering services. • Proficiency with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server administration. • Familiarity with SIEM platforms and log analysis (LogRhythm, Splunk, QRadar, etc.). • Experience with hypervisors such as VMware or Hyper-V. • Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and communication skills. ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications • Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. • Familiarity with additional enterprise security tools (endpoint protection, EDR, MFA systems, vulnerability scanners). • Exposure to project management practices or ITIL-based frameworks. ________________________________________ Key Skills & Attributes • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to explain complex issues in simple terms. • High attention to detail and accuracy. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement. ________________________________________ Work Environment & Benefits ISCorp offers a competitive salary and a full benefits package, including health, dental, 401(k), and profit sharing.
