THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:
The Director of Supply Chain Data and Analytics is responsible for leading the development and evolution of the strategic vision for supply chain reporting, data, and advanced analytics. This includes road-map creation focused on improved data utilization, expedited decision making, and holistic insights. In addition, he/she will also be responsible for leading the team to gather, analyze, and triangulate data from multiple internal and external data sources and use the data efficiently and effectively to derive meaningful and useful insights. This role will partner with internal stakeholders and leadership to evolve the future strategy for supply chain data and analytics and will lead the implementation of any changes. The candidate must be able to combine technical abilities, project management, problem-solving, communication, group dynamics, and business skills to analyze, design, build, manage, and change processes and concepts. This role will serve as a critical tie-in across multiple stakeholders to ensure optimal performance and end-to-end efficiency.
YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:
Leading the establishment of best-in-class structure, processes, and tools that will set the supply chain team up for success
Building strategic partnerships with Supply Chain and IT leadership to understand their needs and provide insights on key business priorities
Providing strategic perspectives and frameworks, and a disciplined problem-solving approach
Develop the overall strategy and leadership to enable and manage self-service data reporting for the Supply Chain
Collaborating with cross-functional senior leadership to align analytics initiatives with overall business goals and supply chain strategies
Leading the team in gathering, analyzing, and triangulating data from multiple internal and external data sources and using the data efficiently and effectively to derive meaningful and useful insights
Leading the utilization of advanced statistical techniques, predictive modeling, and machine learning algorithms to drive supply chain efficiencies
Overseeing the team’s evaluation and recommendations for efficiencies and effectiveness of defined strategies & timelines
Translating complex ideas into clear, compelling messages, using graphics and numbers effectively to influence and to communicate with senior leaders
Eliciting cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management and other departments within the organization
Extending knowledge of Business Intelligence to provide ongoing refinement of processes to improve operations
Leading the strategy and defining use cases for implementing advanced analytics within the Supply Chain
Ensuring SLA compliancefor application issues and troubleshooting
Leading a team of salaried associates, including managing Managers of others
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Networking with Transportation, Supply Chain Planning and Compliance, Supply Chain Operations, Supply Chain Strategy & Systems, DC directors, IT leadership, and Supply Chain leadership to ensure the Supply Chain Data & Analytics team is effectively deployed and focusing on Ulta roadmap items
Building the leadership skills of all team members, with a focus on managers of people
Continually evolve the team through the introduction and deployment of industry-leading best practices
Building consistent support mechanisms and escalation paths across the network
Build and maintain the process required to transition application functionality from the development team to the steady state support team
Participating in the definition of project scope, business requirements documents, goals, and deliverables
THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college with a focus on Information Technology or Supply Chain preferred
10+ years of experience in IT or retail supply chain, including leading managers of people
Prior experience with building new teams or functional capabilities
Proficiency with Microsoft tools (Power BI, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to direct and control activities through managers of the functional area
Demonstrated enterprise thinking and experience developing strategy
Strong conceptual thinker and able to translate business issues into key hypotheses and derive findings using a structured problem-solving approach
Advanced analytic skills and ability to construct and execute analytics and data collection
Demonstrated ability to inform and influence key decisions that may have a longer-term impact on multiple functions across the organization
Proven track record of driving business results through data-driven strategies and insights
Thought leadership with the ability to build robust plans and execute with speed, while communicating clear priorities and bringing others along
Strong strategic mindset, with critical reasoning and qualitative analysis experience
Experience building technology support and deployment strategies
Must be a self-starter and be able to successfully develop and execute against departmental goals with minimal guidance
Ability to manage and drive accountability across an integrated team in a production support environment.
Excellent verbal and written skills to communicate with associates and all levels of management
Good understanding of supply chain and can proactively identify stakeholders’ needs
Ability to work long hours and weekends as dictated by business needs
This role is located at our Corporate Office in Bolingbrook, IL.

The pay range for this position is $143,000.00 - $175,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
