Description : The Education Specialist aims to increase retail activity, brand awareness, and cannabis usage through effective communication to consumers in the 45+ age demographic by targeting those canna-curious individuals, as well as a wide-range of healthcare providers who service the same demographic. Specifically, the Education Specialist will work on a contracted, 1099 basis, allowing them a broad range of freedom to meet their target audiences where they are in the community by hosting educational events, and other consumer / healthcare providers centric events to increase awareness of cannabis’ many uses outside of the commonly known recreational uses to drive sales to this key demographic.
The purpose of this position can be broken into several different approaches: consumer-driven education, healthcare provider education and awareness, and both small and larger scale events and seminars outside of our dispensaries.
Duties and Responsibilities : - Cultivate a community of local healthcare providers, who are open to expanding their patient’s horizons.
- Execute promotional and educational events targeting key demographics.
- Maintain a positive image of the BeLeaf Medical family of brands.
- Educate new and current consumers on the BeLeaf Medical family of brands and product offerings.
- Answer questions about the products and the company.
- Report details of all pre-determined sampling and/or educational activities.
- Find new creative ways to reach new and existing consumers in the target demographic.
- Create an environment that makes consumers feel comfortable to explore, ask questions, and learn about the BeLeaf Medical product lines and their locations.
- Maintain inventory levels of promotional material, distributing when necessary.
- Provide event recaps, highlighting any data regarding customer feedback.
- Continuously improve processes through feedback
- Prompt communication and flexibility for work 15 –30 hours a week, that are self-scheduled and self-managed.
Qualifications and Education : - Over the age of 21
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and persuasive skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
- Must maintain a high level of integrity, personal motivation, and sense of urgency.
- Strong drive to meet and exceed goals.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Prior patient-facing healthcare or research healthcare experience, preferred.
