The Role Defines the requirements to design, develop, build, and maintain the tools, processes and data architecture of a Model Based Enterprise. Analyzes capabilities of existing and proposed systems, and develops technical, structural, and organizational specifications. Leads internal and external stakeholders through determining conditions and designing fully functional and secure digital solutions. Develops long-range objectives and strategic plans for digital engineering innovations, and effectively communicates documented data and results to necessary stakeholders. Generates and presents business case analyses to executive leadership to pursue digital enterprise opportunities. Enables digital transformation efforts by conducting research, driving new technical approaches and processes, as well as developing and managing testing of functionality.

Must Have 0 Years with Bachelors in Science- Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
Nice to Have • Experience with development of detailed and undefined processes
• Innate understanding of digital systems & and affinity for emerging technologies
• Experience / Certifications with 3D design tools, modeling and simulation, MATLAB, etc.
• Ability to obtain proper government security clearances
• Desire to develop skills in project management and detailed calculations through current and emerging technologies and software
• Questioning Attitude / Entrepreneurial Mindse
