Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking an Estimator I in Phoenix Metro to support accurate cost analysis for commercial mechanical and plumbing projects.

Impact

• Support project teams in delivering competitive bids that win quality mechanical work

• Contribute to accurate material and labor cost assessments for commercial construction

• Help maintain profitability through precise quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis

• Enable project success by providing reliable cost data for planning and execution

Responsibilities

• Perform material takeoffs from project plans and specifications using industry software

• Calculate basic labor costs for mechanical and plumbing installations

• Research vendor pricing for equipment, materials, and subcontractor services

• Assist in preparing bid proposals and estimate summaries for review

• Maintain organized project files and estimating databases

• Support senior estimators with quantity verification and pricing research

• Coordinate with purchasing team on current material costs and availability

• Review project drawings to understand scope and identify potential issues

Requirements
Must-Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

• 1-3 years experience in construction estimating or mechanical field work

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic estimating software

• Understanding of mechanical and plumbing systems and installation methods

• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Trimble QuickPen, Bluebeam, or similar estimating software

• OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain

• Previous internship or co-op experience in mechanical construction
