Who we're looking for

Velocity is the newest entertainment startup in Texas. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Event Sales Manager to lead and grow our corporate and private event bookings. This role is pivotal in identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and delivering high-impact events that exceed expectations. The ideal candidate is a proactive sales professional with a passion for events, hospitality, and experiential entertainment.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Proactively generate leads and drive sales for private events, corporate outings, team-building sessions, and special functions.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly revenue goals.
  • Conduct outbound sales outreach, including cold calls, email campaigns, networking, and in-person visits.
  • Respond promptly to event inquiries and follow up to convert leads into bookings.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Understand client needs and tailor event offerings to provide memorable, customized experiences.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for event clients from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up.

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Collaborate with operations and leadership team to ensure seamless planning and execution of events.
  • Create proposals, contracts, and event itineraries in line with company policies.
  • Attend events as needed to ensure quality service and client satisfaction.

Reporting & Administration

  • Track sales activities, leads, and bookings using CRM software.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, pipeline, and market trends.
  • Stay updated on competitors, industry trends, and customer preferences.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of sales experience in events, hospitality, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and Google Suite.
  • Passion for motorsports, simulation racing, or experiential venues is a strong plus.

  • Experience in the entertainment or hospitality industry is a plus

Job Type: Full-time (hybrid)

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year + bonus
