Unit Description Sodexo Corporate Services has an exciting Executive Chef 2 opportunity at Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA. The current food landscape is made up of 2 cafes, coffee bars, patient services and catering operations. The Executive Chef 2 will oversee the day-to-day culinary operation for our main cafe that does about 3500 transactions per day. The cafe is open for Breakfast and Lunch only 5 days a week. The Executive Chef will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the day-to-day retail culinary operation, managing and overseeing the BOH team. The Executive Chef will be directing and elevating the food offering and bringing innovation and creativity where needed. Must be a strong leader, organized, driven towards success, think-on-your-feet, implement strategies and solutions, and have the ability to develop our culinary staff. We are looking for a Chef who: Ensures all food always looks and tastes great and is visually appetizing when served Has a strong all-round culinary ability and strong craft skills in all areas of professional cooking Has a strong knowledge of food and is able to cook using multiple styles of cuisine Is constantly looking for new recipes and new ideas and initiatives that will improve both the quality of food and service as a whole Plays a key role and enthusiastically mentors the culinary team This position offers a traditional Business and Industry, predominantly Monday through Friday schedule, but must be flexible to work evenings and weekends when needed. Accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation per year (first year pro-rated based on date of hire). Medical Benefits begin on the date of hire, and 401K with company match is eligible. Qualifications & Requirements: Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience. Basic Management Experience - 2 years.
