About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its UK division. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the organization's activities in the UK, with a primary focus on fundraising, advocacy, and communications. This role requires a dynamic leader who can motivate and build a high-performing team, ensure effective governance, and engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including government, donors, and the media. The Executive Director will also be tasked with maintaining the UK as a net contributing office within the global network and developing a compelling external engagement strategy to sustain and grow funding. Candidates for the Executive Director position must have significant experience in leading complex not-for-profit organizations, a proven track record in fundraising, and the ability to influence and advocate at all levels. Essential skills include strong diplomatic and negotiation abilities, a deep commitment to the organization's mission, and excellent communication skills. The role demands a leader who can work effectively in a global, matrixed environment and is adept at building and maintaining relationships. A background in the overseas aid sector and experience in an executive leadership position within an international organization are desirable.
