Job Description

We are currently looking for passionate translators to support a virtual education program. In this role, you will collaborate with certified educators to help facilitate students' learning in an online setting. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing students' comprehension and ensuring effective communication.

Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Schedule: Flexible, following the school district's calendar
Start Date: Immediate, based on availability after completing the application process and training

About the Role: As a translator, you will play a key role in translating educational materials, providing interpretation during live sessions, and ensuring smooth communication between non-English-speaking students, their families, and school staff. You'll be a vital part of the student's educational experience, helping them achieve success in their courses.

Key Responsibilities:

Translate written materials, including assignments and announcements, from English to Farsi.
Provide real-time oral interpretation during virtual class sessions.
Assist with communication between non-English-speaking students, their families, and school staff when necessary.
Support students in understanding lesson content and improving their comprehension.

Requirements:

Authorization to work in the United States.
Fluency in Farsi (both written and spoken).
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
Access to a computer with a webcam, headset, and reliable internet connection.
Experience in a K-12 educational setting, ideally in a teaching or support role.

Assignment rates may vary based on demand, time of year, and the subject matter. All rates will be clearly communicated upfront for your consideration.
