As Manager, Fleet Operations you’ll be responsible for oversight of procuring and releasing vehicles for Rosendin to ensure we maximize financial value for the company while also protecting the corporate brand in the field. Safety is a top priority and our ability to ensure that the vehicles that are driven by our team members are thoroughly maintained and documented to ensure we have quality equipment to support our operational needs. Influencing and relationship-building skills are essential, as you’ll work with our field leadership, leasing providers, and drivers to support the business requirements with the least amount of business interruption. The Manager, Fleet Operations will also have oversight of the auto shop located in San Jose that services the vehicles in the Bay Area. The Manager will plan, organize, and direct the maintenance, service, and repair of all vehicles within the corporate portfolio. The Manager will have budget oversight and will need to address any variances throughout the year for all vehicle requirements for the company. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Purchase/lease vehicles to expand and/or enhance the corporate Fleet. Schedule regular maintenance on all vehicles. Order urgent or emergency repairs as needed. Manage the development and implementation of a preventative maintenance program. Provide reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance, and fleet progress. Oversight of maintenance shop in support of Bay Area operations. Contract administration for our acquisition/lease, and maintenance agreements to ensure our 3rd party strategic partners are adhering to their contractual obligations while maintaining fiduciary oversight on behalf of Rosendin. Participate in the hiring, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of employees & leaders within the department. Perform other duties as assigned. WHAT YOU BRING TO US: Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to provide the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Three or more years management experience. Five or more years fleet experience. Demonstrated leadership skills, and excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to build solutions and drive continuous improvement. WORKING CONDITIONS: General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite. We fully comply with the ADA and applicable state law, including considering reasonable accommodation measures that may enable qualified disabled applicants and employees to perform essential functions. Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, video chat and software systems. Position may require travel to construction sites and industrial facilities requiring mobility (on ground and at heights) and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and work boots. Employee will work in multiple environments including an office, warehouse, auto shop, and in a trailer or building on construction sites. On construction sites or in the auto shop, noise levels will be moderate to high. Job site will contain: light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment and tools, people standing, walking, sitting, signaling and talking, bells whistles and alarms.
