As a part of our continued growth we are looking for a dedicated and passionate Facility Maintenance Technician. As a Facility Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for: maintaining the day-to-day operations of facility equipment, the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned, and maintaining the preventative maintenance program. The Facility Maintenance Technician will also be responsible for maintaining excellent customer service to internal and external customers always. Job Summary: keeps equipment of office building and warehouse in clean, orderly and in working condition by performing the following duties
Essential Job Duties:
Performs minor and major repair of the building and equipment
Performs preventive maintenance procedures on facility equipment on a scheduled basis
Installs electrical wiring and equipment
Assists with the renovation/remodeling of the building
Maintains and repairs equipment used throughout the warehouse daily
Performs preventative maintenance on various machinery around the warehouse
Performs mechanic maintenance on various forklifts
Transports small equipment or tools between departments
Responsible for acquiring parts needed for the various on site departments, on request
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Basic Qualifications (Minimum Required Experience, Education, Knowledge/Skills/Abilities, Essential Physical Demands): MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK LONG HOURS WHEN NEEDED!!, must display a great attitude toward the daily duties, minimal welding experience, minimal electrical experience, minimal knowledge of a pneumatic system (forklifts), general maintenance experience.
Education & Experience:
High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent desired. Prior painting, sanding, and machining experience preferred, supplemented by on-the-job training, to learn duties, nature of work performed, procedures, work methods, to become familiar with the company’s products, locations, machines and equipment, operating methods, and to attain proficiency requirements and to fully assume responsibilities of the job.
Minimal experience in: welding, electrical work, pneumatic system and the use of various hand tools
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Must be familiar with the company's products and warehouse methods, techniques and procedures. Must be able to work in cooperation with others. Must be attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments. Must be able to communicate effectively with others. Must have the flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends.
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment:
This position requires individuals to constantly be on their feet except when operating machinery. Should not have any lifting restrictions and must not be afraid of heights. They must be able to stand for long periods, sit, walk, push, pull, bend, climb and be able to move/lift up to 75 pounds regularly. They must be able to climb ladders, stairs and withstand heights of more than 15 feet. While performing the duties of this job, the
employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Should be able to tolerate high and low temperature levels. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud.
