Position Title: Generator Installation Technician Job Location: Atlanta - Cartersville, GA Salary Range: $24.00 - $35.00 Hourly Reporting to: Production Manager Department: Production Job Summary CPS&S sells, installs, maintains and services a number of brands of standby and continuous, prime power generators. These generators serve a growing list of customers, dominated by data centers. This role requires an on‑site technician focused on installation, working closely with Engineering, Production and Sales teams to meet customer needs. Responsibilities Assist teams in the installation of critical power systems, start‑up and commissioning. Assist in selecting a location that allows adequate space for layout and easy access for maintenance. Be involved in the installation process from the time of delivery. Connect generators to the power distribution system. Connect generators to on‑site fuel sources (fuel tanks or gas lines). Install monitoring equipment to track performance and system health. Conduct final inspection to ensure installation is correct and safety standards are met. Willingness and ability to travel overnight. Experience with higher voltage generator maintenance (CAT, Kohler, Cummins) is a plus. Electrical and mechanical knowledge and experience. Diagnostic skills. High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduation from a technical school preferred. AAS in Electrical Power Generator Technology is a big plus. Military experience is a plus. Work Conditions This position regularly requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs. It also often requires pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting 50+ lbs., and working in a variety of weather conditions and noise levels.
