Our Client is seeking homeless shelter Shift Supervisors $24/hr

CLIENT'S AVAILABLE HOURS
First shift (7am-3pm), second shift (3pm-11pm), and third shift (11pm-7am)

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
This position is part of a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week team of professionals providing shelter and support for homeless families. We are responsible for the provision of basic services to clients and for the safe day to day operation of the shelter. The overriding goals of the shelter is to move families out of shelter and this position supports that culture in all ways possible. The shelter is located in Lowell, MA.

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
*Ensure that the Direct Support Shelter Advocates maintain program security and carry out policies while servicing the homeless program
* Attend all scheduled unit meetings, (full staff meetings, behavioral and supervisor's meetings)
*Provide support to any shift in a crisis situation
*Ensure that the dress code policy is followed by all staff
*Review all records and reports generated on the shift for accuracy and clarity
*Report any suspected child abuse to the management
*Schedule staff on assigned shifts, ensuring proper staff coverage, and not leaving until coverage has arrived
*Ensure that clients' monthly reports are completed each month by the Direct Support Shelter Advocates
*Assist in screening, training, evaluating and supervising the performance of the Direct Support Shelter Advocates

CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
*Bachelor's Degree or equivalent knowledge
*Minimum of at least one year of supervisory experience
*Previous work with homeless individuals and/or families, disabilities or other at-risk populations
*Ability to work alone and handle crises with good judgment, adequate communication skills - both written and oral
*Current CPR and First Aid Certifications.
*Must be able to occasionally ascend/descend stairs up to three or more sets, frequently move equipment weighing up to 5-20 lbs., and remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
*Additional Essential Functions
*Sitting, standing, reaching above, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, traversing, thinking, speaking, writing, concentrating, interaction with others.
*Haitian or Spanish language skills encouraged to apply.
