Senior Helpers is hiring caregivers for WEEKENDS! We offer a variety of shifts ranging from 1 to 12 hours during days, evenings, and overnights depending on client needs and YOUR availability. Caregivers typically provide companionship and conversation, meal preparation and planning, light housekeeping, medication reminders, transportation (errands and appointments), and personal care assistance (bathing, dressing, and grooming). Experience in these areas is preferred but not required as we provide training prior to your first shift! We are the only in-home care agency that provides FREE Home Care Aide (HCA) training and testing ON-SITE! If you're already credentialed, you may be eligible for our $1,000 sign-on bonus after requirements are met! Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.50/hour with various differentials offered.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL?

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Caregiver credential (Home Care Aide (HCA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Nursing Assistant-Registered (NAR) 1163 exempt), OR:
• Willingness to complete 10-day training and testing program to become certified
• Dementia experience highly preferred for this client
• Kind, compassionate, and caring demeanor
• Reliability, responsibility, and punctuality
• Great communication with staff and clients
• Pass a background and fingerprint check
• Your own vehicle, current license and insurance
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to communicate in English (written and verbal)

Responsibilities:

• Have fun and engaging conversations with your clients to build relationships
• Participate in your clients’ favorite hobbies and interests
• Prep meals for your clients to enjoy
• Assist your clients with walking, dressing, bathing, and other daily activities of living
• Report and document activities completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients’ status
