Salary: 220K-260K Base (based upon experience level) + discretionary bonus

FIRM SUMMARY:

Stockdale Capital Partners is a vertically-integrated real estate private equity firm focused on commercial investments across all asset classes, primarily across the Western US. The firm manages approximately $3.0 billion in assets across various institutional discretionary, commingled funds (opportunistic and core-plus), as well as several joint ventures. The firm is headquartered in Los Angeles with 4 other offices and over 100 employees. The firms main focus is distressed, turn-around opportunities with heavy repositioning or lease up.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The In-House Counsel shall be responsible for providing support and advising on all real estate related matters including purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, lease documents, construction documents, title documents, various vendor contracts, etc. This role is an in-office role located in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles. The In-House Counsel shall be reporting directly to the Assistant General Counsel.

Basic Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate and membership in the California Bar
• 4+ years of legal experience in Biglaw in the Real Estate Department
• Experience drafting and negotiating a variety of real estate transactional documents including purchase and sale agreements and loan documents. Experience reviewing title/survey and leases.

Responsibilities

• Work with outside counsel on acquisition/disposition and financing.
• Advise on a broad range of real estate transactional matters, including acquisitions/dispositions, joint ventures, financing, and
• Draft/revise real estate related documents and agreements, including brokerage/commission agreements, licenses, access & entry agreements, various vendor agreements, subcontractor agreements and consultant agreements.
