Responsibilities:

• As the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) III, I am accountable for maintaining the proper operational security posture of our information systems. I work closely with the ISSM and ISO, leveraging my expertise to manage security aspects effectively. My duties include:
• Assisting the ISSM in fulfilling responsibilities.
• Drafting, reviewing, and updating authorization packages.
• Ensuring procedures are established for the clearing, sanitization, and destruction of hardware and media.
• Informing the ISSM of changes that may impact the system's authorization status.
• Conducting regular reviews of information systems for compliance with the security authorization package.
• Coordinating modifications to hardware, software, or firmware with the ISSM and AO/DAO prior to changes.
• Monitoring system recovery processes to verify that security features are properly restored.
• Keeping all IS security-related documentation up to date and accessible to authorized personnel.
• Overseeing audit records, ensuring they are reviewed and documented, including any anomalies.
• Participating in essential technical and security training related to assigned tasks.
• Conducting self-inspections for cybersecurity, including the coordination and review of system assessment plans.
• Identifying cybersecurity vulnerabilities and assisting in implementing countermeasures.
• Preparing reports on the security safeguards applied to computer systems.
• Carrying out ISSO responsibilities in support of in-house and external customers.
• Conducting continuous monitoring activities for authorization boundaries under my purview.
• Assisting the Department of Defense, National Agency, and Contractor organizations with assessment and authorization efforts.

I need to be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. Additionally, I have a minimum of 5 years of related experience; 2 or more years of experience with Special Access Programs (SAP) is mandatory. Previous roles may include System Administrator, Network Administrator, or ISSO.

The educational requirement includes a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience (4 years). I must obtain IAT Level II or IAM Level II certifications within six months of hire.

I will require a TS/SCI clearance to start, and I must be able to obtain a TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.

The expected salary range for this role is between $96,034 - $125,005, although actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, location, and contractual requirements.

I am expected to work 40 hours per week, and travel is anticipated at 10-25%. The position is primarily onsite in Colorado Springs, CO, USA.
