Training Instructional Designer - Hybrid 2 days home 3 days office

Job Description Summary

The Training Instructional Designer is responsible for the creation, documentation, technical writing and implementation of online training content and training systems for Technical Training and related support activities.

Responsibilities

· Lead the end-to-end process of developing learning products utilizing instructional design methodologies and documentation to assess learning requests/needs and develop relevant learning assets and solutions.

· Responsible for the creation of full cycle design, development and evaluation of learning assets for both eLearning and instructor-led solutions

· Coordinate and create e-learning courses, programs, workbooks and presentations for their effective use in the training program

· Administer the Learning Management System to upload and maintain content and administer other functions including communications

· Analyze training content needs for e-learning and research related subject matter

· Coordinate training product launch and obsoleting for e-learning on LMS

· Create and maintain training system process map of e-learning and LMS activities

· Oversee the acquisition, use and maintenance of inventory of equipment, such as cameras, microphones and other video equipment, computers, smart boards, sound systems and related technology

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in instructional design or equivalent vocational training and related industry experience

· 5 years of experience in training and development in a technical field

· Experience with developing learning solutions through instructional design documentation

· Sound knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and methods of evaluation

· Software such as: articulate suite, articulate rise, articulate storyline, articulate 360 adobe suite such as creative cloud suit, photoshop, illustrator, premiere, after effects, audition

· Experience with multimedia development, graphic and video streaming

· Proficiency in photography and videography, especially lighting and composition

· Proficiency in software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Articulate Storyline 360 or equivalent applications

· Basic knowledge of mechanics and operation of diesel engines, gasoline engines and familiarity of engine diagnostic equipment
