Position Details

• Location: New Hanover Regional Medical Center

• Department: Operating Room – 17th Street

• Schedule: Mon–Fri, 6:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m., with call requirements

• Hours: 72 hours per pay period (FTE 0.9)

• Overtime: Non-exempt

Responsibilities

• Perform all diagnostic, interventional, and neuro-interventional procedures

• Assist physicians with angiographic and vascular procedures, maintaining sterile technique

• Prepare and position patients before procedures; provide bedside support throughout

• Monitor and report patient condition changes to clinical staff

• Educate patients and families regarding procedures

• Administer contrast media according to established protocols

• Document procedure details, complete image post-processing, and input charges

• Maintain work area cleanliness, replenish supplies, and report equipment issues

• Safely transport patients as needed

• Perform moderate or waived point-of-care testing in compliance with CLIA guidelines

Credentials & Education

• Required: ARRT Certification (Radiology Tech – Registered)

• Required: Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology

Experience

• Preferred: 1–2 years as an Interventional Radiology Technologist

• Strong commitment to patient care, teamwork, communication, and service excellence
