Junior Accountant - NonProfit

About our Client:

CFS of New York is working with a Nonprofit organization with a mission centered around serving individuals and families experiencing Homelessness in the community. They are currently experiencing tremendous growth and need a strong Jr. Accountant to join the team.

What you'll do as the Jr. Accountant:

• Review all invoices and prepares check requests and purchase requisitions
• Accurately code all Expenses & Invoices
• Monthly Expense Reports required from current funding sources.
• Provides accounting support to the Executive Management and Financial Management Team
• Maintain logs and fiscal records to ensure accurate data
• Bank reconciliation and maintaining all bank binders for all sites

• Assist Directors during annual audit and in the production of audit schedules.
• Assist with special interdepartmental assignments as assigned.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 3+ years' work experience in accounting.
• Knowledge of GAAP principles
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong Excel Skills
