Required: Associates degree Skills in Microsoft Office 365 apps, particularly Excel and Word.

Bachelors degree (preferably in history or English).
Bilingual in Spanish Experience in Academic Library, archive, or museum setting.
Experience troubleshooting hardware and software.
Capacity and commitment to engage independently in continuing professional development.
Demonstrated ability to work with patrons/customers and provide exceptional customer service.
Function : Library Assistant for Archives based in Alpine, Texas.
Scope : This Library Assistant contributes to SRSU Library and Archives functions in areas of clerical service, customer service, processing of physical collections, cataloging physical collections, and other areas related to the Archives of the Big Bend in service of all SRSU campuses and researchers. Duties Essential: Duties Essential: (60%) Participates in general maintenance and cataloging of physical collections, engaging with archivist(s), librarians, and library staff when necessary.Texas Law requires a 60 day waiting period before new state employees are eligible to enroll in health insurance.
