Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Savannah's Maintenance Team Industrial Electrician is to safely evaluate, repair, install, connect, test and maintain electrical and mechanical systems to meet required specifications and comply with applicable codes and plant standards. Essential Duties include working a flexible and rotating schedule, adhering to all plant and company safety and environmental guidelines, reading and following blueprints, sketches, and instructions, operating drill press, electrical welding equipment, grinders, pipe threading equipment, and oxygen acetylene burning, welding, and cutting equipment. The role requires troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and inspecting industrial equipment, inspecting and troubleshooting equipment for defects or malfunctions, keeping account of parts and materials used, partnering with internal customers to identify root causes of failures, performing daily preventative maintenance inspections, and basic use of computer systems. Other duties as assigned. Requirements include a H.S. Diploma or GED or equivalent (advanced degree preferred) and 3+ years of demonstrated experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical demands and working conditions include frequent stationary position, moving/traversing, handling, communicating, and exposure to hazards, extreme cold, heat, and vibration.
