Job Description
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN/ELECTRICIAN Location: Corona, CA Shift: Monday - Friday (will train on 1st shift)
1st Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
2nd: 3:00pm - 11:30pm Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 DOE Responsibilities: support the manufacturing operations through applying proper preventive and general maintenance techniques to plant production and support equipment.
Please note, looking for someone that's worked in a manufacturing environment before and has experienced with high voltage, automation, industrial motor controls experience.
Core Duties: - Responsible for proper completion of scheduled maintenance activities associated with production and support equipment.
- Respond to and provide resolution of unplanned equipment failures/downtime
- Report maintenance performed on daily basis. Provide appropriate recommendations for replace/refurbishment of components, assemblies etc.
- Responsible for maintaining maintenance records/histories relevant to tasks performed. Equipment histories shall encompass production equipment, support equipment, and spare parts utilization.
- Responsible for ensuring the safe operation of equipment and machinery within the facility.
- Effectively communicate with machine operators in order to assist production personnel with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
- Retrieve spare parts from local vendors on an as needed basis.
- Ensure correct and safe operation of company owned equipment and machinery.
- Utilize safety equipment such as safety glasses, lockouts, and earplugs. Must work in safe manner and adhere to lockout policies and plant safety related procedures.
- Effectively communicate all unplanned equipment failures to management. Submit and/or initiate a proactive approach to prevent reoccurrence of failure.
- Report all equipment damage and/or safety infractions to management.

Qualifications: - Technical trades school, high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics circuitry, ac/dc drives
- PLC exposure (note: more weight may be placed on one area of specialty over another at time of hire dependent on skills of others in classification and needs of the Company)
- Fabrication / welding experience
- 5 + years mechanical/industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Able to clearly read and understand machine prints & schematics
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must have own tools
- Vehicle capable to retrieve equipment parts on an as needed basis
- Good driving record
- Plastics extrusion related experience preferred
