SSSD has an opening for a Manager Test Engineering 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California. As the Manager Electrical Test Engineering 2, you will be leading a diverse team of Electrical Test Technicians and Test Conductors with responsibilities including: Working closely with the Department Manager and fellow section heads to define and implement the department strategy staffing your team. Assisting section members incorporating the Space Systems vision and principles into their work scope. Building a culture that empowers and motivates individual performance and establishes functional shared accountability with the program areas. Setting employee performance goals and provide performance feedback. Supporting the annual salary review process. Mentoring and developing the next generation of technical and project leadership. Occasionally supporting proposal activities. Improving and enforcing System Integration Test and Evaluation Electrical Test processes. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline plus 5 years of experience in a technical role OR Master’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline plus 3 years of experience in a technical role OR High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (G.E.D) plus 11 years of technical experience. Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing or integration and test environment. Candidate must have, and be able to maintain, at least ONE of the following active U.S. Government security clearances: Department of Defense Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years OR SCI Access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years OR Department of Energy Q clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Space Electrical System Level Testing. Experience in the aerospace industry within a manufacturing or integration & test environment, particularly rapid production environment. Highly effective communication, collaboration and presentation skills. Demonstrated experience with developing and leading high performing teams. Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, planning, and management abilities. Proficiency in technical problem solving, root cause analysis, solution development, change implementation and monitoring. Salary Range: $142,200 - $213,400 The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
