I.K. Hofmann, USA has a great opportunity for a temp to hire role in the Spartanburg area. This candidate must have prior experience operating a manual lathe.

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Cylinder Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating various machining tools and equipment to produce high-quality parts.

Job Responsibilities 

• Operate manual lathe

• Fabricate hydraulic cylinder rod, barrel, piston and gland

• Must be familiar with OD and ID threading and standard and metric components

• Perform precision machining to tight tolerances using a variety of tools

• Inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments like bore gauges and calipers

• Maintain equipment by cleaning and performing routine maintenance

Essential Job Functions

• Frequently positioning oneself to perform work tasks

• This position operates tools, objects, and controls as necessary

• Ability to work in different climates, such as extremely hot/humid or cold, for an entire shift.

• Must be able to move up to 50lbs

Skills

• Familiarity with operating precision measuring instruments for quality control

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Schedule

Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

Pay rate depends on experience.
