Job Description

Summary:

Manage the daily operations and staff at the recycling center. Efficiently purchase, process and prepare for shipping all materials while maintaining a professional level of customer service and complying with the company, local, state and federal regulations. K&L Recycling, LLC Madfos Metals is family owned. K&L contributes to minimizing landfill volume, conserving energy and resources, minimizing the strain on our natural resources, which contributes to the betterment of our environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administrative duties associated with the purchasing, processing and shipping of materials.
  • Adhere to all State and Federal reporting requirements within the required timeframe.
  • Maintain equipment and report issues to immediate supervisor ASAP.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with staff, drivers, customers, and the general public.
  • Adhere to the standards set forth in the company HSE Policy.
  • Attend all one-to-one and monthly management meetings.
  • Assist in the hiring and training of new staff members.
  • Report all injuries and incidents immediately to your supervisor.
  • Ensure all recycling center staff is being cross-trained.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial data.
  • Unload customers.


Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Texas Driver License.
  • Acceptable MVR Score per Company Auto Policy Carrier.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum 1-5 years experience in customer service.
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • Exceptional time management.
  • Professional manner and strong ethical code.
  • Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
  • Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at a time.
  • Communicate with others and exchange accurate information.
  • Operate a computer and other office machinery or equipment.
  • Ability to safely enter and exit all equipment.
  • Requires working outside in all weather conditions.
