What We Need: We are looking for a News Anchor/Reporter for the Rocky Mountain Region of 24/7 News. This is an exciting part‑time opportunity to contribute local, regional, and national content in a dynamic newsroom environment. Must be able to work nights, holidays, and weekends. What You’ll Do: Anchor newscasts for multiple markets. Write clear, concise news copy. Produce, edit and write content for 24/7 Newswire. Post news and video content to newsroom social media platforms. Gather audio from press conferences, live events and partner TV stations. Produce short‑form reports (voicers/wraps) for anchors on the following shift. May be called on to anchor breaking news reports as needed. General newsroom responsibilities and duties as assigned. What You’ll Need: Self‑motivated in finding stories as a reporter and also anchoring newscasts. Strong social media skills including email, writing/posting for Facebook, X, and Instagram. Must be willing to work nights, holidays, and weekends. Strong on‑air presence and ability to present newscasts with authority. Excellent writing and editing ability; excellent grammar. Strong time management skills; adept at setting priorities and managing deadlines. Knowledgeable and up to date with local, regional, and national trends. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficient in media production (primarily audio) and broadcast systems. 3+ years’ experience in on‑air journalism in smaller market or college station. 4‑year college degree, preferably in Broadcast Journalism or Communications.
