News Anchor/Reporter – iHeartMedia Join iHeartMedia as a News Anchor/Reporter in the Rocky Mountain Region. This part‑time role brings local, regional, and national content to a dynamic newsroom. Must work nights, holidays, and weekends. What You’ll Do Anchor newscasts for multiple markets. Write clear, concise news copy. Produce, edit, and write content for 24/7 Newswire. Post news and video content to newsroom social media platforms. Gather audio from press conferences, live events and partner TV stations. Produce short‑form reports (voicers/wraps) for anchors on the following shift. May be called on to anchor breaking news reports as needed. General newsroom responsibilities and duties as assigned. What You’ll Need Self‑motivated in finding stories as a reporter and anchoring newscasts. Strong social media skills including email, writing/posting for Facebook, X, and Instagram. Must be willing to work nights, holidays, and weekends. Strong on‑air presence and ability to present newscasts with authority. Excellent writing and editing ability; excellent grammar. Strong time‑management skills; adept at setting priorities and managing deadlines. Knowledgeable and up to date with local, regional, and national trends. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficient in media production (primarily audio) and broadcast systems. 3+ years’ experience in on‑air journalism in smaller market or college station. 4‑year college degree, preferably in Broadcast Journalism or Communications.
