Job Description

Cambreleng & Marton LLC seeks a paralegal to join our small team of plaintiff-side employment lawyers and support our growing practice. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of litigation experience, preferably in employment law. This position requires a candidate who can independently draft legal documents, pleadings and letters, and is familiar with litigation rules and procedures.

We are looking for an exceptionally organized team member who pays attention to detail, follows through and has strong oral and written communication skills. This position requires a client service-oriented mindset, sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and the ability to remain focused amid dueling priorities. We offer a competitive compensation package with perks and guaranteed bonuses, including a total compensation of up to $80,000 annually, depending on experience and performance; generous medical and dental benefits; 401K; unlimited PTO; and the potential for remote workdays.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee discovery of the firm’s litigation cases, including gathering, reviewing, and summarizing documents for production, reviewing the material for relevancy and responsiveness, and making recommendations for redactions
  • Monitor discovery during the litigation process, with periodic follow-ups with clients
  • Track case dockets and deadlines for litigation, arbitrations, and create first drafts of related filings
  • Work with the attorneys to create internal deadlines in state court filings
  • Supervise a legal assistant
  • Draft, format, and edit objections to subpoenas, correspondence with counsel, and other legal documents
  • Research and write memoranda on legal topics
  • Assist with monthly invoices
  • Meet weekly with attorneys on case and project timelines and priorities
  • Aid with litigation and trial preparation, including witness interviews, organizing and maintaining exhibits for deposition and trial, and providing courtroom assistance

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Hourly rate of $27.00-$32.00 DOE with a yearly cost-of-living increase
  • Guaranteed quarterly and annual bonuses
  • Full payment of monthly health and dental insurance premiums
  • Employer matching 401K with 100% of contributions on the first 3% deferred, then 50% of contributions from 3% to 5%.
  • Monthly phone stipend of $50
  • Unlimited PTO, sick leave, and mental health days
  • Ability to work remotely one to two days per week 
  • Use of laptop while employed
