Job Description

An investment firm in NYC seeks a junior paralegal to support their legal team in a busy and fast-paced environment. Must have 1-2 years of experience as a paralegal within a law firm, finance or other professional services.

Salary range: 85k - 95k base

Hours: 8:30am - 6:00pm with additional hours as needed

Schedule: Onsite Monday - Thursday, remote on Fridays

Responsibilities:

• Assist in drafting and preparing various legal documents, focusing on contracts and agreements
• Review, organize and manage contracts for the team
• Support the team in managing client and vendor relationships
• Conduct research on legal topics and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
• Coordinate with different departments to manage both internal and external communications
• Identify potential legal risks and collaborate with the team to address them
• Oversee the progression of client and vendor contracts to ensure timely completion
• Help organize and maintain legal documentation
• Work with legal and other business teams on special projects
• Maintain and update internal systems to track contracts, projects, and legal matters

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• At least 1 year of prior experience working as a paralegal, ideally in big law
• Strong academic background (minimum GPA of 3.5)
• Exceptional written and spoken communication abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PDF management software
• Fluency in English required; proficiency in other languages is a plus
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail, with a proactive approach to ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule
