Job Description

A boutique law firm in downtown Los Angeles is seeking a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Paralegal to join their Litigation team. This paralegal will be assisting with civil litigation matters in a wide variety of cases. This is a hybrid position that allows for up to 3 remote days after the initial onboarding period.

Responsibilities:

• Manage attorney calendar (including hearing dates, filing and service deadlines and appointments)
• Maintain and organize case files (electronic and physical)
• Communicate with clients (including gathering documents and information as well as communicating information and/or instructions)
• Independently completing service and filings (in both state civil and federal bankruptcy courts)
• Preparing first draft communications and filings (including data gathering and entry)
• Preparing discovery, declaration and motion forms and templates
• Occasional translations in formal English/ Spanish

Qualifications:

• At least five (5) years of experience in civil matters
• Bilingual in English/Spanish. A significant portion of client communication will be in Spanish.
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
• Excellent case management skills.

The compensation range for this position is $60,000-$72,000. The firm also offers family health and dental coverage, a 401k program, paid vacation and more.
