Short DescriptionThe Phlebotomy Technician is primarily responsible for collecting specimens for laboratory testing in the inpatient setting. Patients may range from newborn through older adults. Team members are assigned to various inpatient units based on volume and are expected to provide timely and accurate service.
Experience Required1 year experience in phlebotomy/EKG is preferred.
Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English)
Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma Required
License/Certification RequirementsProvide proof of formal Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant training is required (annual recertification is not required); PBT (ASCP) certification highly desirable.
