Job Description

Position Summary

Lead Captain Gulfstream G600. Full?time, Oxford, CT (KOXC).

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) or Second in Command (SIC) as assigned.
  • Maintain compliance with flight and maintenance schedules, regulations, and company SOPs.
  • Ensure crew compliance with Part?91/135 flight?time limitations.
  • Perform pre?flight and post?flight inspections per the AFM.
  • Coordinate with DOM & ACM for aircraft cleaning and scheduling.
  • Manage inventory and cabin equipment in agreement with owner or user requirements.
  • Communicate crew performance and annual reviews to the Assistant Chief Pilot (ACP).
  • Approve and maintain crew expense reports in line with CLA policy.
  • Review and report billing discrepancies to accounting and ACM.
  • Schedule crewmembers days off and vacation requests, relaying to ACP for owner approval.
  • Liaise with ACP and Director of Training for training and evaluation requirements.
  • Conduct monthly currency reviews and annual aircraft black?book audits.
  • Ensure compliance with fleet SOPs, required paperwork, and regulatory authorizations.
  • Be familiar with installed equipment and maintain all required operational authorizations.


Maintenance Related Responsibilities
  • Stay aware of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events.
  • Assist CLA in resolving and communicating mechanical AOG events when required.
  • Review monthly work?order invoices.
  • Coordinate maintenance communications with the Maintenance Controller or DOM as assigned, ensuring all maintenance scheduling is communicated effectively.


Additional Responsibilities
  • Communicate all trip?related requests or changes from aircraft owner or charter client to the Charter Department and Chief Pilots office.
  • Gather operationally related data for special projects or reporting as requested.
  • Facilitate strong working relationships within the flight department.
  • Maintain and promote CLA company culture among flight department members.
  • Provide constructive feedback to improve processes via the ACM or Safety Management System.
  • Assist in the selection and interview process for all flight department personnel.
  • Coordinate with scheduling specialists and billing to manage aircraft schedules and crew assignments.

Required Education and Experience

Minimum experience to safely operate the Gulfstream G600 in compliance with company Operational Specifications, General Operations Manual, and Flight Operations Manual while meeting account?management requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • FAA Part?91 and/or Part?135 compliance for Gulfstream aircraft.
  • Current ATP certificate.
  • First?Class medical.
  • Gulfstream GVII Type Rating.
  • Ability to remain within a 2?hour driving distance to KOXC.
  • Successful completion of Pre?Employment Drug Screening and Background Checks.
