Position Title: Pre-Biller
Location: Bakersfield, CA
Pay Rate: $19.50/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Assignment Length: Approximately 3 months (tentative - can be longer)

Position Summary

Key Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Pre-Biller to join a well-established medical services provider in Bakersfield, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience in insurance verification and medical billing support . This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in a professional healthcare environment while contributing to a team dedicated to accuracy and quality service.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient demographics via incoming data and documentation.
• Confirm and collect patient signatures as needed.
• Ensure hospitals and departments receive all required documents promptly and accurately.
• Maintain and organize authorizations and patient information for billing purposes.
• Support the billing team with administrative duties as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments to ensure workflow efficiency and compliance with billing protocols.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED .
• Experience with insurance verification .
• Legible handwriting and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information professionally.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical billing experience .
• Previous experience in a healthcare or medical office setting .
• Familiarity with billing systems, EHRs, and insurance documentation processes .
