We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team in the food manufacturing industry. This is a permanent role with both 1st and 2nd shifts available. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing our manufacturing operations, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This role is ideal for a professional with a background in meat production and processing, who is familiar with industry standards such as HACCP, SQF, and GMP.

Responsibilities:

As a Production Supervisor, your duties will include:

1. Supervising the day-to-day operations of the production line, ensuring that production schedules are met and quality standards are adhered to.
2. Implementing and maintaining safety procedures, ensuring that all staff are trained and compliant with safety regulations.
3. Applying Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste in the production process.
4. Ensuring compliance with HACCP, SQF, and GMP guidelines, and conducting regular audits to verify compliance.
5. Coordinating with other departments such as Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to ensure smooth operations.
6. Training and mentoring production staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
7. Identifying and resolving production issues, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
8. Reporting on production metrics, and providing updates to senior management on production performance.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Production Supervisor role, you must have:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in meat production and processing.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of HACCP, SQF, and GMP guidelines.
3. Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
4. Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. The ability to work flexible hours, including the possibility of working on 1st or 2nd shifts.
8. A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
