The mission of the Ethics Administration Program is to provide staff support for the Louisiana Board of Ethics, which administers and enforces Louisiana's conflicts of interest legislation, campaign finance disclosure requirements, lobbyist registration, and disclosure laws. Further, the Board of Ethics ensures compliance by governmental officials, public employees, candidates, and lobbyists and to provide public access to disclosed information. This position will serve as the Notice of Delinquency Processor for the Ethics Disclosure Division. Minimum Qualifications Three years of experience in compliance programs, federal jobs training programs, accounting, auditing, labor relations, workforce development, or administrative services; OR Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR A bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:

Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Job Duties and Other Information Conducts desk audits to determine the compliance status of filers to determine whether the filers have complied with the reporting requirements of the appropriate statute, Issues notices of delinquency to those failing to file disclosure statements. Codes, reviews for compliance, and posts reports filed with the Louisiana Board of Ethics. Distributes delinquency notices to non-compliant filers. Responds to questions and provides information to filers and members of the general public regarding reporting and filing requirements and deadlines. Determines and provides appropriate reporting forms. Maintains all reports and transmits to the Secretary of State's Archives Division, in compliance with the Board's Retention Schedule. Maintains statistical information with respect to the reports filed and their compliance with the provisions of the appropriate law. Compiles records in connection with litigation. Other miscellaneous duties. This position may be filled by job appointment, probational appointment (probation in lieu of promotion), detail to special duty, or non-competitive reemployment. Selected candidate may be required to serve a probational appointment of up to two years.
