Position Title: Project Engineer 1

Cyclonaire is currently looking for a Project Engineer to join our team.
The Project Engineer performs engineering design evaluations and provides technical support to design staff, Project Managers, and Application Engineers. The Project Engineer will prepare engineering designs and work specifications while contributing toward more complex aspects of a project. . The Project Engineer will need to be able to support their design decisions and material choices with engineering calculations and data. This role will perform working calculations relating to design solutions. Task work is generally independent while overall work is collaborative. This role will be able to carry out its functions in accordance with Cyclonaire’s Core Values.
Essential Functions
Competencies: Strong understanding of 3D modeling, as well as 2D drawing software, is necessary . Must have a strong understanding of fluid dynamics and machine design. An understanding of automation and/or system sequencing is desired. Must have the ability to prioritize and manage workload while meeting critical timelines with high expectations from internal and external customers. Problem-solving and critical thinking skills are required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to communicate effectively with customers’ staff on a professional level, exercising tact and discretion. Must be able to work in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and Microsoft Teams. Understanding of Workflow, SolidWorks, and other CAD software is desired.
Education / Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Engineering is required. Familiarity with industrial equipment, manufacturing processes, metal fabrication, and design principle desired.
Physical Demands: Requires frequent touching, grasping, and feeling of physical equipment. Talking, hearing, and repetitive motions are required. Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Work requires constant visual ability. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds independently.
Work Environment: Clean and climate-controlled office environment in a manufacturing facility.
Travel Requirements: Travel may be required 5-10% of the time. Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that permits the use of company automobiles.
Safety: Safety shoes (steel or composite toe), safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and other forms of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required in designated areas.
Other Duties: Safe work performance is always required from each employee. Perform all duties and responsibilities in a safe manner in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals. Required to wear or use PPE as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditions. Understanding and adhering to Cyclonaire’s Core Values are required.
