Salary: $38.00 to $44.00 hourly Description We are in search of a meticulous Proofreader to be a part of our team in the healthcare industry based in New York. The role involves a comprehensive review of various documents, ensuring they meet the established guidelines and standards. This opportunity offers a long-term contract employment.
Responsibilities - Thoroughly review and proofread proposals and RFP's to ensure they are free of errors and meet the set guidelines.
- Check for consistency and accuracy in language, grammar, and formatting, adhering to AP style.
- Ensure the correct placement of TM and other specific language as per the brand's style and guidelines.
- Make sure all documents, including word documents, are edited in a straightforward and efficient manner.
- Work closely with the writing team to ensure that all required documents are received and edited within the designated timeframe.
- Utilize skills in Adobe Acrobat, Banner Ads, Blue Book, Capital IQ, CCH Sales Tax, and About Time to effectively perform tasks.
- Ensure strong communication and customer service in all interactions.
- Uphold compliance with all company and industry regulations.
- Leverage knowledge in consumer electronics as needed.
Requirements - Must possess proficiency in Adobe Acrobat for effectively managing and editing PDF documents.
- Familiarity with Banner Ads to ensure the accuracy of ad messages and their alignment with brand guidelines.
- Should have a good understanding of the Blue Book to ensure compliance with legal citation standards.
- Knowledge of Capital IQ is necessary for conducting in-depth research and data analysis.
- Experience with CCH Sales Tax software is required for managing and ensuring accuracy of tax-related documents.
- Proficiency in About Time software for effective time tracking and project management.
- Strong communication skills are necessary for conveying feedback and changes to the team effectively.
- A high level of compliance is required to ensure all documents meet set standards and regulations.
- Familiarity with Consumer Electronics to ensure accurate proofreading of technical documents.
- Exceptional customer service skills are necessary for effectively handling queries and feedback from clients.
- Proficiency in AP Style is required to ensure the content aligns with the Associated Press style guidelines.
