We're hiring a Public Information Officer (PIO)!
The PIO serves as the public relations officer for the department, building and maintaining positive media relationships, and managing RCPD's flow of accurate and timely information to the public. This position is expected to leverage proactive communication channels and practices to connect, engage, and inform the Manhattan/Riley County community. We're looking for someone who is proficient in crisis, internal, and public communications and has the education, training, and experience to work effectively with members of the media. This position is eligible for yearly merit-based salary increases, cost-of-living adjustments, and education pay.Time-Line
