Position Summary: The QA Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications through meticulous manual testing. This role involves identifying, reporting, and resolving software defects to ensure a high level of quality and user satisfaction. The tester will work closely with development teams and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Planning: Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on software requirements and specifications.
- Manual Testing: Perform manual testing on software applications to identify defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Defect Reporting: Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues.
- Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, test results, and defect reports.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that software applications are user-friendly, reliable, and meet the company's quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in manual testing or quality assurance.
•Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using bug tracking and test management tools.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working with Microsoft ADO or Jira is a plus
- Experience with automated testing tools.
- Knowledge of programming languages and scripting.
